Project Overview
Modi was engaged by Catholic Cemeteries and Crematoria (CCC) to deliver the Chapel Basement Ramp and Hearse Driveway works as part of the Macarthur Memorial Park development — a major long-term initiative set to serve the greater Sydney community with over 136,000 burial plots in the coming decades.
Scope of Works
- Bulk earthworks and detailed excavation for ramp and driveway formation, slab footings, and in-ground services
- Construction of slab-on-ground and retaining wall structures using approximately 350m³ of concrete, including FRP (Form, Reinforce, Pour) for structural slabs, ramp surfaces, and wall systems
- Engineered retaining walls with granular backfill, chimney drains, and compaction in accordance with geotechnical requirements
- Final surface trimming, swale construction, and grading to tie in with adjoining civil works
- Delivery of all works in accordance with WHS Act, CCC site requirements, and complete certification for concrete works, waterproofing, drainage, and compaction testing
